FRISKIES TO BE EXCLUSIVE SPONSOR OF THE DAILY CAT
STUDIO ONE NETWORKS CREATES AND DISTRIBUTES ONLINE PROGRAM
UNIQUE CROSS-MEDIA RADIO PROMOTION TO SUPPORT PROGAM
New York, February 28, 2002 -- Friskies Cat Food, the number-one cat food brand in America, has become the exclusive sponsor of The Daily Cat, an Internet program for cat lovers concerned with keeping their pets healthy, vital and happy. Charter distribution partners offering the program on a selected basis include a portfolio of pet, animal and family focused sites such as, "The Cats Forum" on CompuServe, "Pet Jam.com," and "Clever Moms."
The Daily Cat is a feline health, care, behavior, and lifestyle resource for cats and their owners. Program topics include nutrition, grooming, and general behavior; all dedicated to the 36% of American homes that house a feline friend.
More than 300 radio station will carry weekly programming specific to cat lovers, also titled The Daily Cat. The radio segments will promote the online program, which, in turn, will promote the radio elements. Well-known pet author Beth Adelman is managing editor of The Daily Cat. Until recently Ms. Adelman was the Editor-in-Chief of Cats magazine, which was named Best National Magazine by The Cats Writers Association during her tenure. Previously, she was a Senior Editor at Dorling Kindersley, where she developed the KISS (Keep It Simple Series) Guides, and the "What Your Pet Needs" series.
Six other award-winning writers and authorities on the cat world will be regular contributors to the program.
